They’re right back into the fire, however, with a difficult matchup against a Jacksonville Jaguars team coming off their first regular-season loss since November 9, 2025. An AFC contender hiding in plain sight; the Jags could make a big statement in a bounce back against last year’s Super Bowl runner up.

As if the laughable end to last season, in which they lost seven of their last nine games, wasn’t bad enough; the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 0-2 to open the new campaign. A loss on the road to Joe Burrow’s Bengals is one thing, but Sunday’s loss to the Browns is cause for concern. With a 2-0 Vikings team headed to Florida, Baker and co. have their backs against the wall figuratively, and will endure it literally with Brian Flores’ blitz-happy defense primed to harass a Bucs offense in desperation mode.

NFL Week 2 Power Rankings 2026
1. Buffalo Bills
The Bills followed up on a statement win in Week 1 by dismantling the Detroit Lions in primetime, with an offense that bordered on unstoppable until the game was out of reach.
2. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks took care of business against their lowly divisional foe Cardinals in Week 2, with backup quarterback Drew Lock leading the champions to a second straight win and crucially, another game closer to the return of Sam Darnold.
3. L.A. Rams
After a long 10 days of discourse around the Rams’ Week 1 travel plans, they got off the mat in Week 2 and cruised by the New York Giants. With Puka Nacua soon to return and Myles Garrett waiting in the wings, L.A. should yet be the star-studded show it was expected to be ahead of the season.
4. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens’ revamped team hid a bump in Week 2, losing to a feisty New Orleans Saints team after giving up 15 fourth-quarter points, but the early returns on offense, especially, are encouraging.
5. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are 2-0 with two straight games that didn’t fully inspire confidence, but they avoided a disaster loss in Tennessee and remain a sound, three-phase team that finds ways to win.
6. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs appeared to learn few lessons from last year, as they entered the 2026 season with yet another middling cast around Patrick Mahomes. Yet, a pair of impressive wins have sent them out of the gate 2-0 and back into the forefront of league conversation.
7. San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks and Rams continue to take up most of the conversation in the NFC West, while the 49ers just keep rolling along. A dominant win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 pushed them to 2-0, with a kind Week 3 game at home to the Cards on the horizon.
8. Cincinnati Bengals
It’s 2-0 for the Bengals thus far, with back-to-back impressive wins over the Bucs and Texans. Joe Burrow and the offense are rolling early, while a revamped defense has exceeded expectations, they can simply be good enough to get by and is instead playing at a genuinely high level.
9. Denver Broncos
Few teams needed a strong Week 2 showing more than the Broncos, and they got it. Against the league’s hottest team dating back to last November, Denver finally slowed a scorching Jaguars team and got its new addition, Jaylen Waddle, rolling in the process.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars’ regular-season win streak came to an end, but there’s little shame in losing a one-score game to the Broncos at Mile High. With the defending AFC champion Patriots headed to Jacksonville next Sunday, the Jags have an exciting spot to reaffirm their status as a top-tier team in the conference.
