NFL Week 6 Recap & Game Highlights
NFL Week 6 kicked off with an NFC East battle that saw the defending Super Bowl champions remain stuck in the mud, and ended with a pair of primetime upsets. With another week in the books, the NFL Week 6 scores saw some wild results as the BET99 NFL odds and NFL season barrel toward Week 7.
A quartet of NFL odds underdogs won outright in Week 6, and a league lacking great teams continued down a path of maddening parity. BET99 has your NFL weekend recap, highlighted by the biggest games from Week 6 and looking ahead to Week 7.
NFL Week 6 Recap & Game Highlights
Colts 31 Cardinals 27 (Arizona +10)
A game in which the Indianapolis Colts were favored by double-digit points came down to the wire and a potentially missed call, after a wild second half in which the teams traded scores at will. Though getting gashed by a Jacoby Brissett offense is worrying, the Colts and Daniel Jones continue to stack wins – a trip to L.A. to face the Bolts next Sunday looms large for their credentials.
Buccaneers 30 49ers 19 (Tampa Bay -3)
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers followed up last week’s thriller in the Pacific Northwest by outlasting yet another NFC West side. A scene that featured Baker heroics and MVP chants seems likely to be repeated over the course of the season, as Tampa keeps navigating a banged up offense on the back of its franchise quarterback.
Chiefs 30 Lions 17 (Kansas City -2.5)
In one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs reminded the NFL world at large that they are still a factor. Forcing the Detroit Lions to look downright unlike themselves is an accomplishment in its own right, but so too is the way the Chiefs have rebounded from a dreadful start to 2025.
NFL Week 6 Power Rankings 2025
1. Detroit Lions
It remains to be seen if there are any great NFL teams in 2025. The Lions, our best contender for such a label, lost in uncharacteristically timid fashion in Week 6.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
If you were paying attention in recent weeks, it was clear the Chiefs were rounding into form. Now, a win over the Lions will be followed by Rashee Rice’s return – look out.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What more can be said about the 2025 Bucs? They have embodied Baker Mayfield’s relentless competitiveness and are legitimate contenders in the NFC – led by a bona fide MVP candidate.
4. L.A. Rams
The L.A. Rams spent Week 6 in relative anonymity, beating up on a lifeless Ravens team. In a season in which the presumed good teams trip up every week, anonymity – and the win column – is a fine place to be.
5. Buffalo Bills
Worrying performances led up to what is now a two-game losing skid for the Buffalo Bills, with a lack of discipline and woeful tackling a cause for concern for a team that should’ve fired its head coach two years ago.
6. Indianapolis Colts
Colts fans and believers alike will feel aggrieved by this ranking… and with good cause. Let that sink in!
7. Seattle Seahawks
After they came up short against the Bucs in Week 5’s thriller, the Seattle Seahawks cruised by a feisty Jaguars team. Most encouragingly, Sam Darnold and the offense played a clean game against the league’s most opportunistic defense.
8. Philadelphia Eagles
Something is rotten in the state of Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia Eagles’ offense continues to regress, as the mood around the team sinks toward 2023-level lows.
9. Denver Broncos
The ‘72 Dolphins could find themselves in a rock fight in London, so a sleepy showing from the Denver Broncos against the Jets in England won’t be held against them. But, in a conference thick with good-not-great teams, the Broncos’ offense needs to click soon.
10. Green Bay Packers
Fresh off a bye, the Green Bay Packers got past the Joe Flacco-led Bengals – albeit in not particularly impressive fashion. It has yet to fully click in Green Bay, with Micah Parsons’ muted performances the encapsulation of a team nowhere near its ceiling.
NFL Week 6 Scores & Standings
After Week 6, a few teams are pushing toward the second half of the season with just a lone loss on their schedule – while a single team still seeks their first win.
5-1 teams: Colts, Buccaneers.
4-1 teams: Steelers.
Winless teams: Jets.
