NFL Week 8 Recap & Game Highlights
Jets 39 Bengals 38 (New York +5.5)
The league’s last winless team got off the mat thanks to a 23-point fourth quarter, as the New York Jets stunned a Cincinnati Bengals team just trying to stay alive until Joe Burrow re-enters the picture.
Broncos 44 Cowboys 24 (Denver -4)
MVP-calibre play from Dak Prescott has helped a brutally undermanned Dallas Cowboys team appear competitive this season, but Sunday showed what it looks like when Prescott can’t quite keep pace. On the other side, on the back of three RJ Harvey touchdowns, a Denver Broncos team growing ever stronger made it 77 points scored across the last five quarters.
Packers 35 Steelers 25 (Green Bay -2.5)
Breathless coverage of Aaron Rodgers’ matchup with his old squad was, fittingly, overrun by a brilliant Jordan Love performance. On the back of 20 straight completions, and 21 fourth-quarter points for the Green Bay Packers, Love and the Pack reminded the league of their ceiling.
NFL Week 8 Power Rankings 2025
1. Kansas City Chiefs
An 0-2 start could not seem further away for the Kansas City Chiefs, the league’s most recent dynastic power.
2. Detroit Lions
Fresh off a bye week, the Detroit Lions set their sights on JJ McCarthy and the Vikings.
3. Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts’ offense continues to operate at an outrageously efficient rate – and a late-November matchup with the Chiefs inches closer.
4. L.A. Rams
A couple of long weeks of travel sent the L.A. Rams into their bye week, but they’re ready to return with star wideout Puka Nacua healthy once more.
5. Denver Broncos
Riding the high of an all-time comeback, the Denver Broncos blew a terrible Cowboys defense away.
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In a funky divisional game in the Big Easy, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kept up their winning ways – but will need more juice on offense against tougher foes.
7. Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen put together a vintage performance fresh off a bye, trouncing the Andy Dalton-led Panthers as they try to right a shaky ship.
8. Green Bay Packers
A Jordan Love masterclass in primetime saw the Green Bay Packers play their best football since the start of the season.
9. Philadelphia Eagles
Without AJ Brown and up against a divisional foe for the second time in three weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles got out of their own way and continued their ascent from mid-season woes.
10. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks will come out of their bye with a second straight game in primetime, headed across the country to take on a desperate Commanders squad.
