NFL Week 3 Recap & Game Highlights

A pair of Super Bowl contenders’ wins bookended the NFL Week 3 scores, as the league’s hierarchy begins to take shape after the twists and turns of the opening weeks.

A quartet of NFL odds underdogs won outright in Week 3, with the most emphatic and meaningful upset coming in the final act in Baltimore. BET99 has your NFL weekend recap, highlighted by the three biggest games from Week 3 and looking ahead to Week 4.

NFL Week 3 Recap & Game Highlights

Eagles 33 Rams 26 (Philadelphia -3.5)

A first half that ended with the Philadelphia Eagles booed off the field quickly flipped, with Philly’s passing game coming alive for the first time this season in the second half. In chorus with a L.A. Rams offense that hit a wall and failed to build a lead, a wild game of two halves was decided by two L.A. field goals getting blocked – including the game-winning effort at the death.

Chargers 23 Broncos 20 (Push)

Much like the drama in Philly, an AFC West clash took on a playoff feel as the Denver Broncos and the L.A. Chargers traded punches. While the Broncos’ offense is yet to hit their stride, L.A. rode continued MVP-calibre play from Justin Herbert, punctuated by a phenomenal game-winning strike to trusty vet Keenan Allen.

Lions 38 Ravens 30 (Detroit + 4.5)

In case a 50-burger at home to the Chicago Bears wasn’t enough proof, the Detroit Lions used a primetime win over the Baltimore Ravens to show the NFL at large they’re well and truly back. Aggressive decision making, a relentless ground game, and timely throws from Jared Goff had these Lions looking a whole lot like the 2023 and ‘24 versions.

NFL Week 3 Power Rankings 2025

1. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills moved to 3-0 in a scrappy win over the Dolphins – the exact kind of game, and win, that’s perfectly acceptable on a short week against a divisional opponent.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles’ offense remains worryingly stuck in the mud, but a second-half effort to involve AJ Brown and Devonta Smith against the Rams could present a solution – provided they continue to get advantageous matchups.

3. Detroit Lions

A 50-piece followed up with a true-to-form win over the Ravens emphasizes one thing: the Detroit Lions are back to their best.

4. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens’ leaky defense is cause for concern, but a once-in-a-generation collapse against the Bills and a loss at the hands of the fierce Lions is hardly enough to knock them out of the contender tier.

5. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers’ early season vibes were dealt a blow in an ugly loss to the Browns, but the strength of Cleveland’s defense should not be underrated. A beautiful bounce-back spot awaits next week in Dallas.

6. L.A. Chargers

Now 3-0, and 2-0 inside the AFC West, the Bolts are ready to end the Chiefs’ decade-long divisional dominance – and Justin Herbert’s finally ready for his MVP campaign.

7. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs finally got off the mat in an ugly win over the Giants, but with the Ravens coming into town in Week 4, a dysfunctional offense needs to rise to the challenge.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Never count out Baker Mayfield. For a third straight week, the world’s feistiest quarterback got the ball back with a chance to lead a game-winning drive, and for the third straight week, Mayfield delivered for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

9. L.A. Rams

A pair of blocked field goals and an offense that short circuited saw the Rams fall short in Philly, but Sean McVay’s squad looks to be firmly among the NFC’s best in 2025.

10. Denver Broncos

On the losing end of a fantastic game in L.A., one week after a heartbreaking loss against the Colts, sees the Broncos at 1-2 and with an underperforming offense. But, between an elite defense and a true difference-making head coach, faith remains in fortunes turning at Mile High.

NFL Week 3 Standings & Records

After Week 3 wrapped up, the standings are beginning to show which teams are pulling ahead and which are falling behind.

0-3 teams: Jets, Giants, Saints, Panthers, Texans, Titans.
